There are three main phases that Samaheej Charitable Association has gone through.

The first stage is the launch of what was called at that time the “Samahij Charitable Fund” by the Samaheej Cultural and Sports Club in 1985 AD, as it is considered the first charitable fund in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The charitable fund has been managed by individuals from inside and outside the Samaheej Club management.

The second stage is the official establishment of the Samaheej Charitable Fund, where the procedures for its establishment took place in 1997, which took place in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs No. (14) for the year 1998 AD, and it was published in the Official Gazette No. 2302 - Wednesday, January 7, 1998 AD, page 26.

 The third stage is the stage of transforming the Samaheej Charitable Fund Foundation into the current official name of “Samahij Charitable Society” (in line with the requirements of the Ministry of Social Development that all charitable funds in the Kingdom of Bahrain be transformed into charitable societies), in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Development and Social Affairs No. ( 98) for the year 2010 AD - The decision was published in the Official Gazette in Issue 2977 - Thursday, December 9, 2010 AD, page 36. The administration that was elected in November 2013 AD by the General Assembly is the first elected administration of the Simaheej Charitable Association.
